A wheelchair can be an amazing companion for the elderly or handicapped. Though there are many types of wheelchairs available, manual lightweight wheelchairs are the most popular. Someone with a spinal cord injury can get around as quickly in these as someone else can walking. For an older person with disability, lightweight wheelchairs can provide access to the world outside the home. For an active sportsperson, these are the means to participate in marathons, basketball, and tennis.
